Inventory Pack - do we need it?

If you sublet privately do you need the Haven inventory pack? Can anyone tell us what it contains, and how much it is worth?

As we have part exchanged our tourer, we have lots of kit - cutlery, toaster, microwave etc so really don't need another lot, but when we asked not to have the inventory pack, and requested a discount we were told it is a standard pack which we need if we are subletting with Haven. We have since decided not to sublet with Haven, so will we still need this?

Also if we do have the pack will the electrical stuff be PAT tested already? If we have our own stuff presumably we would have to get this done before letting our van.

Our van should be ready next week - 18th - At last!!! :)

Will we have to tell them straight away whether we will be letting with them or not? We have opted not to take on their guaranteed letting already.

Sorry cannot help you with the info for the inventory pack,though we do have the contacts to purchase 6 and 8 berth packs should you require one, not sure off the top of my head what they have in them.
As for the items to be pat tested if they are new and striaght out of the box then no they donot need pat testing as they are covered by manufacturers gauntee if how ever they are second hand or you are unsure as to how old a particular item is then yes get it pat tested then that way you have covered yourself. It is worth getting all items done, kettle, tv, toaster, microwave, dvd player, video, lamps, hoover, hairdryer, fridge and any other portable electrical items you consider having in your unit.

Thanks, that's really useful advice.

However it would still be good to find out how much Haven cost the inventory pack at because as we had a lot of stuff for our tourer the only things I think we will need are crockery, glasses and bedding, so I wonder if it will be cheaper for us to buy this ourselves rather than have the Haven pack.

If anyone could help that would be much appreciated.
