Hi all
I'm a new static owner, my mum and I have pooled funds and purchased a van on the Haven site in Caister on Sea. We seem to have a very good spot, away from the main centre and with a sea view out of one window.
The van we have is pretty old but is in very good condition and we are in the process of adding our own touchs too it including freeview sat TV and an ipod docking station - may as well be home from home as much as possible.
We are very much looking forward to having weekends at the beach next year and the staff and other owners we have met on site seem very friendly.
We are heading there this weekend for the final owners party and to close down the caravan.
I'm sure I'll be adding some posts and asking for help via this forum.

Thanks Darren.
We did a lot of research before picking this site, proximity to the beach was key and when we stumbled across the van we bought which was lucky enough to have a view of the sea we knew we had found the right one.
Roll on next season when we can really make the most of the van.

You certaintly can't get closer to the beach.
When I was down there I used to love a day on the broads and visiting Yarmouth stadium to watch the stock car racing and greyhounds.
Some very happy memories of been down there although I'm sure it will have changed quite a bit by now, it has been about 10 years.

Kiera - where are you based?
Andy - hope you are happy on the site, it does seem very well run comapred to some we visited and the facilites are great. My niece and nephews are going to have so much fun next year. Are you attending the party thing this weekend?
Alison:)
Hi Alison,
We're very happy with both of our caravans at Caister and have had a great 2008 season but unfortunately we can‘t make it to Caister on Saturday for the party due to a prior engagement, however we’ll be there Sunday for the owners brunch and a paddle in the sea!!!
I do agree that most of the staff and the other owners are very friendly and helpful.
Hope you enjoy the party Saturday and have a superb 2009 season,
Andy

hi alliejo we are at ingoldmells in lincolnshire we went there as all our holidays were there and relative have vans but after reading where some of you have vans ine jelous:(
We’ve been to Ingololdmells/Fantasy Island/skeggie several times and it’s lovely, although I‘m a little to big for a few of the rides now!!
We actually considered buying a caravan there but didn’t due to the miles we would have had to travel!

That was one of the reasons we chose the Norfolk area, apart from it being very beautiful around there, we can get from home to 'home from home' in two hours which really makes a weekend more feasible. And we found caister nice as it wasn't full af archased and food shops so you really have just got quite rural coast.
I really can't wait till next season!!

it only takes us 2 hours to get to our caravan which is long enough when we go every weekend
keira
It only takes us 30 minutes to arrive at our caravan!!

wow andy thats even better do you have kids asking are we nearly there yet :D
Fortunately we don’t have any kids (unless you count me) so we aren’t annoyed by “are we nearly there!” Do you have any kids irritating you on your journey? :)
