Hello my name is Ian and I run a small business called Caraconnect based in Colchester, Essex, and we are specialist suppliers to the caravan industry serving both the park operator as well as the private caravan owner.
We carryout many internal and external repairs, including floor repairs, roof re-sealing, full electrical rewires, problem finding and solving, as well as new electrical fittings and appliances, with certificates issued.
Our first and foremost trade is the on site connection of all static caravans to current industry and manufacturers standards, including the levelling of the caravan, and then the connection of the waste water, electrical connection and testing, supply and fit of television aerial, and the anchoring of the caravan.
Our 4 main trades are Gas, CORGI regisitration No. 232289, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Electrical with fully qualified, and fully insured engineers, working in each trade.
We are currently in the process of building up our mail order parts side of the business, which will hopefully see us compete with competitors not only on the pricing of our engineers work but ultimately with other suppliers of spares.
Do you let your caravan out to holiday makers and are fed up with the service and standard of repairs you get from your park, if so give us a call and we can help minimize the length of time you caravan is out of action and therefore costing you money.
Does your park ask for a portable appliance testing certificate? if so give us a call and we can arrange that for you as well.

From our base in Colchester we have no problem in travelling and cover the whole of the U.K. We are happy to visit to give a free quote or advice.
Please call us on 01206 860746 or 07817 730981.
And someone will be only to happy to visit.

As one of the UK`s leading on site connection specialists we are now pleased and proud to announce that we are have successfully met all regulations and qualifications to become registered with
CORGI (Registration No. 232289) as LPG Caravan specialist engineers. This will enable us to add the final piece of connecting your caravan holiday home, without you having to find another contractor. This will also enable us to carryout the following works;

Issuing of landlords safety certificates
Gas safety inspections
Carryout many gas related repairs
Installation and commissioning of new Caravans
Installation of Auto changeover valves and pipework

And of course we are also able to carryout many internal and external repairs, we are now able to offer the complete connection package and are now your one stop for all caravan repairs and spares.

New for 2008 we are pleased to introduce our frozen pipe solution which allows you to use your caravan all year round without having to pay for drain down costs and stops the pipes freezing.

Call 01206 860746 or 07817 730981 for a site visit and free quote.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you fell you need some further infomation or advice on static caravans please feel free to call. We maybe a small company but we are big enough to care.
Thanks again, Ian. Caraconnect.

Do you know of anyone who can give us a quote on adjusting or perhaps upgrading our caravan aerial so we receive a sharper picture? Our caravan is in Caister-On-Sea. Thanks

Hi Andy, sorry for not getting back to you earlier but I have been working away. This is something we are finding more often people are requireing their areials upgraded. This is something we can do for you by installing a digital 48element high gain aerial ideal for medium, weak or very weak tv signals, this will increase picture quality to your terrestial tv plus allowing you to purchase a digital set top box at your convience, we dont supply these as at present they are very cheap and easy to buy from someone like tesco. I will pm you our contact details so you can call us and we can arrange to visit. Thanks very much, Ian. Caraconnect.

I was told by a gas fitter that if any installation company still quotes any reference to a Corgi registration are breaking the law and can be severly fined. Only those regeistered under Gas Safe are qualified to install gas appliaces and boilers.

Hi Hovis,
I can assure that we DO NOT break laws and are fully qualified Gas Safe register engineers, and have been since the law changed in April 2009.
Please, as noted by Teakbank12, the date of the original post.
We also have a post on here stating that the law had changed and what customers should be looking for.
Our regisitration number is exactly the same 232289, anyone wanting to check this is more than welcome.
Thanks
Ian

For anybody interested, i can vouch for Ian from Caraconnect in that he works as always within the law and is qualified and registered, also that he is an honest tradesman with many years experience , just like myself in the area of static caravan repairs and service.

Although this is an old reply, we are now able to offer a full Freeview installation complete with reciever box, digital aerial, scart lead and digital co-ax. This is ideal for those in the process of getting ready for the digital switch over.
