off again tomorrow- the plan

yes it's that time again when some of us are off to the van for the weekend, this is my first stopover weekend of the year....
who's going? me and daughter( 20)
the plan is to leave around half twelve, once we have loaded up the car!! where does it all come from?
go to van, unload, put radiators on, go to Asda to do a BIg VAN Shop for many weeks to come...
come back, have tea, go to the club to play Bingo,, hopefully win!!:)
Saturday- Go to the Pleasure Beach... yey...:).
come back and faff with curtains, got my scissors, my pins, my curtains to adjust.... and chillax... watch DVD@S and eat Crud.....
Sunday- poss go shopping.. go with the flow....
come home _ after doing a mini draindown,,, turn off gas, turn off water, open taps, flush loo and add a touch of anti freeze to toilet bowls and cisterns.. and the drains... anything else??

Have a nice time Tia, we are nipping to our van probably Sunday to check on the bedroom carpet, put all the seat cushions back on and untie all the curtains.
Daren't put the water back on 'cos it's been a bit frosty over this side of the Pennines,
and it's usually a bit colder on the coast.
Do you have to drive far? We're about 1hr 10mins so not too bad.

We are going Sat for first visit this year cant go Fri has betime hubby has finished work it would be to dark when we got there to start connecting pipes etc now if I had it my way I would be there flash-light in hand......... but I suppose I will just have to be patient plenty more fris to come where we can just shoot off. :) :)

Can I ask, as you are fitting the carpet yourself will you be using those stretcher things that the carpet fitters use, will it have grippers round the edge or just laid flat or stuck down, is your furniture fixed and will you move or go around it ???? You can tell where this will lead can't you :)

We're off again this afternoon/evening - two nights' stay this time! Another 2 car-loads of stuff to take - daughter coming with us this week, so we need the duvets and bedding for the twin room, plus the 2 boxes we couldn't fit in last week, plus the stuff I've bought this week (washing-up bowl, dish drainer, tea/coffee/sugar cannisters, biscuit jar, bread bin, waste-paper basket ...), and there's more clothes to take, and food (although only for tonight and tomorrow morning - going to go to the Co-op in Hornsea tomorrow for a 'reccie' so I know what it's like for future visits, and Lady P needs to find out just how good fish and chips from Sullivans are!). It's going to be a loooong day, waiting for home-time!! Does the excitement ever go away?!!

cats are the resident 'strays' and had all gathered by someones van who lives on site and feeds them....

Sorry to hear your visit wasn't as you hoped, but your next one will be even better than the first I often find if I really look forward to something its rarely as I think it will be and can even be a disapointment your next visit will be great as you will have no preconceptions trust me :)

Sorry your visit didn't go to plan (still laughing about the blinds - sorry:p). We are going for our first weekend visit on Friday. I am hoping we are not going to get any nasty surprises - I just want a fairly relaxing weekend!

Aww 8 cats - how sweet. Wish I could take my cats to the van with me. One of our friends on site (who has now sadly left) used to bring their two dogs and cat down every time they visited. The cat seemed to know where it was and they never really had any problem getting it back in before they were due to leave! My worry would be if mine went big walkabouts, they wouldn't come back for a while ...........

next weekend woohoo !! hoping to go straight after kids swimming lessons next thursday and stay till the monday, need to ring in sick for the kids cos the schools are very strict with holidays. i have booked my time off work, just waiting for him indoors to get the ok from his work. there is an opening party on the 19th at the club house, its had a massive re furb for this season, can't wait to see it xx
