Hi all..... as a new owner thats currently in first winter. What do you do!! I know it sounds daft but we have no idea. We have been 'drained down' but do you go a switch on heating for a few hours or just wait till March? Hoping for some advice. Thanks to all and a happy new year.

Previous years we have popped onto site for a few hours in the New Year checked out the van (which always looks sad) then gone for a bracing walk on the beach.
The site shouldve given you tips on winterising your van.
We all look forward to March time when owners get vans operational again.
Even counting the weeks/days down right now!!

we just open taps, dis`t water pipe to let water back flow then put water pipe back on,if you have a new van you shouldhave antifreeze in system so no need to drain central heating.....most boilers have a frost setting on them (turn water off and heating to min on boiler)check thermostat set to `*` setting.ow` flush toilets etc,the only reason for damage is water expanding when frozen in the pipes and having no where to expand to............also put salt in old curry/tv dinner meal trays and put around van to soak up moisture......
