Im thinking of buying a static caravan to live permanantely in. In the Lincolnshire area. is there no places where you can live 12 months of the year or is it just 10/11 months of the year. also does anyone know of any parks in lincolnshire where you can move your static onto.
thanks in advance:)

If your wanting to live in a van all year you need to look at residential parks instead of holiday parks, I'm sure they will be plenty.

Unfortunatly there are very few who let you movena van on to a park, as this is where they make their money selling you the van.

Sorry I can't be more help but I only work on the holiday side.

I hope somebody comes a long and can give you more info.

It really does depend on the site but i would say you'll be looking at at least £10000-£15000 for a new basic van and if you find the right park £2000-£4000 for a basic second hand van. Then you have your site fees etc on top.

Of course most residential parks offer chalet, parkhomes, lodges rather than statics.

Check out these links they may/may not help

Unfortunatly it aint a cheap game this.

To be on a top holiday park in a top it can cost £65000 for a van, £4500 per year ground rent then bills, maintence etc etc.

Of course I should add that there are reasonable priced places out there but they are hard to find. Maybe a visit to the area you are intersted in would work and pick up local advertisements, papers, tourist guides etc etc you tend to find adverts in those sort of publications

As others state a holiday park is just that, with a maximum stay of say 28 days before you have to visit somewhere else for a night.
Even then most parks are only open March to November & these really are just for holidaying.
I guess you need to look at finding a park for locating your van then moving into a friends/relatives for the winter months.
Our park was taking on vans but they had to be half decent & minimum age (i think no older than 2002), then the groundrent etc amounts to several thousand so i guess it soon mounts up.

Best of luck in your search for a reasonably priced site.
