News this week from the beeb that Pontins are investing in both upgrading sites & employing staff as they see an increase in guests wanting to holiday in the UK.
I know our site owned by BL are saying (like last year) that bookings are up with people boycotting abroad.
I guess people will always want some sort of holiday & the seaside has always had an attraction :)
Lets hope the coastal towns take notice & spend some money to attract people.

I am living in hope that with the increase in people holidaying in UK instead of abroad the local authorities will see this as the perfect chance to get eu money and develope seasode towns. Up in the north most Northern cities are seeing alot of developement at the moment but the seaside resorts are struggling.

Scarborough and Blackpool are two that really need alot spending on them

As you’re no doubt aware Pontins closed their Hemsby holiday centre in January after a review found it needed "significant investment" while facing "declining bookings and escalating costs".
Now they’re investing £50m in redeveloping their remaining holiday centres, creating 2,000 new jobs in the process.
