We are looking to purchase our first static caravan and we are so pleased that we have found this website,sooooo much useful information and kind people sharing their views and knowledge.
We are looking for a park within reasonable driving distance from Manchester about 1.5 hrs and quite like the look of Talacre, Flintshire.
We want a park that does allow subletting.
We are not sure whether it is best to buy a van off site and then get it sited or to buy a van that is already sited.We still have a lot of homework to do.
I'm sure we will be browsing these forums for a long time before we make our decision

Hi Diddlyidi, Talacre won't let you buy your van elsewhere and put it on their site, at the moment they don't allow sub letting either. There's loads of info on this site, I wish we had found it before we took the plunge, but even so we really enjoy our time at the van. Good luck in your search.

Thanks jules66, I have seen the recent thread about the new owners trying to change the status of Talacre Beach to allow subletting and I'm glad that it has now been resolved.
I can understand that this is a very important choice when people purchase a static caravan
