Hi All, new to this and just wondered what you all do re insurance for your caravan. The site we are buying on gives free insurance for the first year, so don't really know the costs. Do you mostly buy through the site that you're on or arrange it independantly? Or do some not bother and insurance contents with their normal house insurance? Or isn't this allowed?
Thanks for any replies
Jules

Our BL site is very competitive, we did ring for quotes but found it best to use the sites insurers. Any claims & the office deal with it all.
You have to have insurance with personal liability in case your van catches fire & takes the site with it :(

I got mine through a site called E&M, it was a 100 pound cheaper than what my site was offering......... But, then i had to give my site 45 pounds just for them to check it to see if i had the correct cover:rolleyes: still saved a few bob though.....

Hi Guys,
It may also be worth trying NACO, The National Association of Caravan Owners, as they can also offer competive insurance costs to members and non members alike.
www.nacoservices.com or call them on 01255820321.

If your caravan was to get destroyed by fire you’d be charged to have it taken off site and to have a new one sited! Although if you have debris removal etc etc on you policy you could claim on your insurance if the worse was to happen!
