View Full Version : Willerby Aspen 3 Bedroom For Sale Exclusive Private Park In ingoldmells Skegness
Hi All,
Been lurking for a while, this is 1st post. Ideally after somewhere on Anglesey, Wales, but seen this advertised on Ebay and it held my attention enough to make this 1st post.

This is located approx 3 hrs from home, whereas we can do Anglesey in just under 2 hrs.
We are still toying between a Static or a Motorhome and have not fully made up our minds. Both communities have there pros and cons, and for us it is making sure that the pros outweigh the cons.
Site fees and length of lease are the main issues i can see. We also have a dog who we would be bringing along. It would not be a sublet, but we would allow the kids and grandkids to use it when we were otherwise engaged
Comments and suggestions would be appreciated
Best regards,

Wow that van looks amazing and what a decking it has too.........
it looks quite a new van as well....... you will have to do yourself a table..
pros and cons of buying up there or Anglesey......distance/ scenery/site fees etc etc....
also dont forget that on top of that price you may have to pay commision to the site owner on the completion of the sale...
i am not 100% how it works but there are lots of threads on here about buying privately.........
one thing i will say is......... do your homework and dont rush in............:D
P.S. have you introduced yourself on the introduction thread?

We had a touring van, then bought a Mazda Bongo, converted with drive away awning, next stop was to get a proper motorhome. Then it all went wrong, health problems caused me to have problems with the Bongo, couldn't put awning up on the Bongo or the touring van...so sold the lot and got a static, much easier.
As Tia has pointed out, there are some threads on here regarding buying, then work out the costings, go and look at sites, vans etc before you embark on the static journey. They are great but can turn into a money pit.

The Aspen in the photographs has been changed inside, it has had the standard seats/carpets removed and leather/laminate put in it's place. Now some people may think this is an improvement but it will affect the book price, dealers don't like vans that have been messed about with.
There is no mention about site fees or terms, or even which site it's on and as it's being sold by a dealer they should have really put all this information in the advert.
My feelings are, that a van of that age (probably 2005 or newer) should not have needed the furniture replacing, is it an ex-hire that has been abused, hence the need to change the furniture and carpets? The Aspen is a lovely van but shouldn't look like that one.

Thats a nice looking van.You aren't going to get much of a motorhome for twenty grand really.A motorhome wouldn't lose money as fast as a static though. If you are considering a motorhome then it seems to me that you aren't quite ready to 'settle down'so to speak.Remember, you have to be in love with the area where your static will be sited and not just the thought of owning one itself....Me,i wish we bought the static later in life and bought a motorhome instead.But..thats just me and not quite forty yet.Good luck with whatever you decide.

Hi Ian,there are many threads on here dealling with getting started. As everyone has said in the past the 1st thing is to pick a site.then plot then van.
As regards the Aspen I have to agree with ML and give it a miss.
Fuel costs also come into it.Have you thought about sites in North Wales?

aspens are very nice vans but .. that is fitted with narsty ikea seating and dinning table etc etc could be a 2003 not worth £20,000, well not a private sale, but nice decking

For me it's not about the van but the site and location.
You mention Anglesey..thing is about that place is you will pay maga bucks for a prime site unless you are very lucky,I have done many many holidays on that island and it's a superb location loads and loads of beaches(some you
Can have to yourself).
I looked on there for two whole days and we where priced out of our budget of £2000 for site fees.....great place and love it to death but it's a popular location and the site owners on there know that...
For me forget the van(I've not even looked at your link) it's about site/location then fees then van..... Happy hunting because Anglesey(North wales) is possibly the best place in the uk for a holiday home, other folks may say different :D
