Hi,

As i posted on the introduction page, my partner and i are thinking about purchasing a static sometime, hopefully in the near future.

I could do with as much information as possible, so i can look into it all before taking the plunge.
I am checking continually on websites, for prices and site fees etc, but a little first hand knowledge off here will go a long way.

I know you can't be exact with figures because it depends on the site, plot size of caravan etc, but is there a rough ball park figure that i should be looking at for site fees, and what exactly do they cover.

What ( if any ) are the hidden charges, and what is a reasonable price to expect to pay for a static in good condition. I ask this last question because i've read that, like cars, they lose money as soon as you live in one, so my way of thinking is, buy a cheaper one. but the cheaper one's seem to be the older ones, and then i'm stuck with the " if it's a certain age, i'll have to get rid of it on certain sites and buy another one".

All help will be appreciated.

Exactly Keira,

At a rough guess i would imagine that at the earliest it will be middle to late next year before we even get close to having the finances to buy one, and that is why i want to get as much info' this year as i can, so i'll have a better understanding for when the time comes.
