View Full Version : Is it possible to have a gallery section?

Not sure whether it would be possible for whether it would seem too much like advertising maybe, but is there any way we could have a gallery section where we could put show pictures of our caravans?

I know I for one spend hours on Ebay looking at pictures of different ones to see all the different layouts etc and and with so many different makes, years and styles of van it would be interesting to look at other peoples and see how they have kitted them out and how the different decking can look.

With a specific title with the make and year people would have easy access to pictures of what they were interested in and could prob be a great help to people considering buying a van if they could see pictures of it and get a fair idea of what they were looking at before travelling to view.

Just an idea hope its not a too stupid one! :D

Hi,

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I managed to miss this post.

I don't think something like that would work to well on a forum but if there is interest in a website like this it could be something I add to the network.

Anybody else interested?

If you are interested in posting piccys you can use a site like www.photobucket.com

For instance, I have some great piccys of a military exercise that I watched from a rig I work on. To see them just click on this link: http://s904.photobucket.com/albums/ac243/Stuey_bucket/

Goldixpcx,
I too would love to see what other people have done to their caravans, even if they arenīt the same model it would be interesting to see and maybe inspire others , well me anyway.

Its just I belong to a few other forums, a dolls house one and a pets one and my OH belongs to loads of car ones (whichever he has at the time as he changes every 5 mins!!) and they all have gallery sections where you can post pics and its fun looking through what other people post. Maybe I'm just nosy ;) :D

This is a test
<a href="http://s904.photobucket.com/albums/ac243/Stuey_bucket/?action=view&current=Chinook3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i904.photobucket.com/albums/ac243/Stuey_bucket/th_Chinook3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" ></a>

edit: I was hoping to embed piccys from photo bucket onto this reply but as you can see it hasnt worked.

It works!! If you put photos of your caravan onto photo bucket and then move the mouse over the picture it comes up with a menu underneath. There is a box which says IMG code. If you copy and paste the code into a message on the forum then the photo will appear in the message. Nose all you like! its great fun.

Nice van, Karen and Stu! What sort is it? We have a 10 ft Abi Arizona some parts look similar. Looks like you have a d/g door - does it make a difference?

That decking is outstanding! I would love to do something like that myself. I did some raised decking at a house I used to live at and it was my pride n joy. Very well presented, bet you get loads of enquiries.

Thanks :) luckily the decking was already there when we bought it but it runs the whole length of the van and it really makes such a difference having your own space outside. As for the presentation that was my house doctoring done for the rental photos believe me it doesn't look like that when we are in it  but it does everytime we leave, I have to make it all tidy cos I love going back and when you open the door its all lovely and clean!

Only a few weekend enquiries so far but not had it advertised for long so fingers crossed but only wanting to get a few weeks to cover costs so hopefully we should be ok.
