OK, I am struggling! I have a laptop for my daughter which I cannot install new software onto. I am attempting to re-install the software/OS n hope this solves it. Anyone have any info?

What type of laptop is it?
eg: dell,toshiba,acer
which o/s xp, vista?

do you have a disk or a recovery disk?

Yeah, I did the recovery disk and did it that way. Its disappointing really, the only reason I coulndt download onto it was because it wouldnt allow the admin password to be entered. Problems: 1, Windows: 0. Should have got a MAC.
