i was down the van this weekend
and i had a thought come to me
i was going to start a little venture of my own
cleaning caravans ?
as you know i work for a cleaning company so i know what i am doing
i also thought that most of the van cleaning would be manly in the holidays ?
i was thinking about 8quid per van ?does this seem to much ?
this would allow me to be down most of the holidays with the kids
or do you think its not such a good idea

Hi Susan,
I think most people would love a reliable and trustworthy cleaner. The thing is though, most would want one normally weekends(sat) when a changover happens.Although you could advertise for holidays only but i suspect that most would either do there own if it was just for the holiday periods.

Could you not go to your park on Saturdays throughout the season, because believe me, you would make some money.I would definately charge more than £8! I pay my cleaner £15 for a good 1 hour and a half. You could charge £15-£25, and if check out is 10.00am and guests check in anywhere from 2.00-4.00pm and you could probably do between 4-5 vans.

Also with the end of the season approaching, why not offer deep cleans? inside of cupboards, behind the fridge, pull off all the cushions and a good clean behind the seating, pull out the fridge etc or if you have a carpet cleaner maybe offer that service aswell.

There is definately money to be made and a good market,as many more people are choosing to sublet themselves and are always on the look out for a good cleaner

thanks little star
we have also thought about the deep cleaning too
i thought the price was ok as i saw a lady offering to clean vans for about a tenner ?
that was per van so maybe a will charge about that but also more for a deep clean
thanks for all your info littlestar:D

That sounds cool Susan! :D

We get ours from VistaPrint too and would definitely recommend them, as mentioned above all you pay for is the P&P, although we paid a little extra for our last lot as we had a calendar printed on the back!!

I wouldn't have thought blue anchor would be bothered really Susan, it's the cleaning company that might be mardy but that is competition for you.
Don't worry about what people might think and just go for it ;)
