Hi all, my name's Barry.

My partner Lesley and i have a 2002/3 Atlas Everglade at Doon Park, Kippford, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. We like to try and get down to it as often as our jobs allow but unfortunately that only means 3/4 times so far this year but maybe we'll be brave and have Xmas there!

Hope to chat with like minded people......seems a bit quiet here at the moment, has the forum just been started??

The forum has been running fully for a couple of months now.

My dad used to live up at Dumfries but I don't know too much about the area. I hope if you do go at christmas you have some warm woolies :D

Dumfries & Galloway is a great place for a peaceful break, the scenery is beautiful, lots of woods and coastal walks, much of the area is still undiscovered by the masses.

As for Xmas, we'll i'm up for it but Lesley may need her arm twisting! :D

Is your caravan park open throughout the year then?

It does close for most during the winter Andy but there are a few hardy souls who are there all year round. It's run by a decent chap so i'll think he'll let us have a few days there over Xmas.

No it doesn't have central heating but it does have a good fire and as Darren said we'll have to pack lots of woolies!

Reminded the other half she'd agreed last year to go there this Xmas but she just laughed :confused: ........i think i still have some work to do :rolleyes:

we would love to go to ours over xmas as it as central heating but its closed :(
