Hello all
So pleased that I have found this forum, we had started to think that we were the only people with statics that had computers!!
We have a Carnaby freestyle which we bought from Discover (ex Barrons) from new.
We are having double glazing fitted next week, and have been told we cannot have an extractor fan fitted. We both like cooking and this sometimes means opening more windows than we would like. Has anyone any ideas how we can extract whist cooking? (There is a vent above the sink with no fan, could one be fitted?)
Many thanks:confused:

Hi there, welcome to the forum, who has told you you cannot have an extractor fan fitted, the window suppliers or someone else, as far as I am aware this should not be a problem if fitted in the kitchen, I can understand about it not being fitted in the window as that is double glazed unit, but would of thought it would be ok for you to have one fitted though the wall in the kitchen, Iam not famililar with your particular model but this should not be to much of a problem to install. Where about in the country is your holiday home located?

Hi
Thanks for your reply. It was the window fitter who told us we could not have an extractor fitted. Had not considered going through the wall, I suppose it makes some sense, but am filled with trepidation. Our van is in County Durham

Hi Col, you say that you're having double glazing fitted, are they special units and do you have to have a specialist firm to do the job?. It's just that we've just bought our first static and we are looking at this option.

hi graham
We used a guy called Joe From countrywideglazing.co.uk They are special units, apparently 2 mm less than domestic type. Look very good, fitted in a day and work well, no condensation, warmer etc. Good luck colin
