Does anyone know of a static caravan park where the site fees are any less than £2,000 per year?. (Preferably in the Northern part of England)

Plenty around the Skegness/ Ingoldmells area around that mark and a bit cheaper if you go in land

Ours is £987.50 and it in Weardale. There is a very basic park for the kids to play on and no other facilities but it's peaceful and an ideal base for Hamsterley Forest. Guess it really does depend on what facilities you are looking for :)

Hi juliesh

Sorry for the delay, just been at the caravan all weekend and I only get internet on my phone in one place so I only tend to check email from time to time and that's it.

It's Newhall Caravan Park, Bedburn, and no they do not have a web site (only their cottages have sites) which is a shame but don't let that put you off. He stated to us that he has never needed to as word of mouth is sufficient and I could well believe it.

There are a few rules that you have to adhere to but imho this makes the park more attractive to us, no letting though family can use the van, you are responsible for cutting the grass around your caravan and if you don't he will do it for you and bill you. Kids have to be in by 10pm, which is fantastic when you have young kids who are in bed way before then like us which means it's very peaceful after 10pm. Seriously it's as if all the kids have been muted lol.

This is our first owned caravan though we have stayed in Caravan's quite a bit and absolutely love it. So far, I highly recommend this park and speaking to other van owners the fees only rise very slightly each year and although there is a 15%+vat sell on clause I don't think this site is out to screw people over like others.

There are a few vans for sale on the site and you can keep the van on the site as long as you want as long as it's well maintained. Check it out as it could just be the site for you.

Hi ,
My groundrent ranges from £1650.00 to £2115.00 at flamborough. We include rates, rent, water and VAT. We dont charge extra rent for sea views or silly things like that. I do stipulate which vans go where - of course it depends on size and availability.

I can't remember exactly what my site fees are off the top of my head but I know they start with a 1!
My van's at Beeston Regis (http://www.beestonregis.co.uk/) just outside Sheringham on the north Norfolk coast - I know it's the wrong part of the country but just thought I'd post for wider information.

The site itself is pretty basic - laundrette, steps to the beach, the office sells ice cream and there are 2 play parks for children, but it's walking distance in to town which has everything you need. It's a 9 month season and renting isn't allowed (family and friends are fine as long as you let the office know), so it's lovely and quiet!

I'm wondering why you're looking for site fees under £2000. Have you considered sub-letting. My vans' site fees cost £3000 last year yet I made over £5000 subletting it and still had plenty of time to use it myself.
