Hi guys
Would you say its excessive for a park to charge £9,000 for you to fetch your own van to a site?

I would say that's a bit much, however, I would certainly charge someone a few grand to bring their caravan onto our park. Don't forget, the park where you bought it has made the profit on the sale, the new park is simply getting the annual pitch fees. I guess you have to decide if you really want to be on this new park.

I agree with Indianwells, that does seem slightly high. But as they have said they are suppling a pitch to you where they coud site one of there own sales so need to recover some of the costs of siting your van

Our site (& most BL/Haven sites) are taking vans onto site for nil fee, all you will pay is the siting fee, annual pitch fee & the usual insurance/rates/gas/electric.
They were even ofering to move your van for free witin approx 50 miles last year, not sure if that offers still running.
If you don't purchase a van onsite you don't get the £500 odd discount annually for buying a BL/Haven van, similarly if you privately purchase a van already on site it's the same & of course no gaurantees about the state of the van.
