Hello Everyone. My name is Phil and like all of you have done, I'm researching static caravans with a view to buy. I have seen one on the Terfyn Pella site in Prestatyn, has anyone any experience of the site? It's next door to the Red Lion site and apparently you can buy passes for this park, as there is nothing on the one I'm thinking of moving onto. I've lots of questions but I'll leave them for now. Thanks for a fantastic site; I've learned loads since finding it.

hi.prestatyn is ok but if you notice, you will see theres not much in the way of entertainment off site. This may be the criteria you require but if you are buying to let,the word on our site in towyn is Towyn is regarded as much better for letting your van due to there being funfairs, pubs and bars etc which is what a lot of families require on hols.good luck with your search.

Hi Darren, thanks for the welcome. Hi Dasboot; I don't intend to sublet; I just want it as a base when I visit my family in Liverpool, however, I'll let my family and good friends use it for the odd week. Hi Graham, with living in Scarborough I have only been to the site once; it is small with just a small clubhouse on it but that is all I want.
I'm thinking that I maybe rushing into it and although I haven't got cold feet, I do feel a little worried about handing over £9500 to the stranger who is selling it. The site manager assures me that everything is above board and he witnesses the transaction. On this site you are free to sell your own van and the fees are only £1800 with a coming on fee of £500. The site fees are paid up till August 2011, so in effect I'm only paying £7700 for a 2005 van. Any more thoughts/opinions would be appreciated, I'm due to go there Saturday afternoon. This is the website of the park :

The above is just my opinion and does not reflect anything malicious toward the caravan site, the site manager or the seller of the van
Thanks
Phil
