hiya,
we are going to have a look around martin mere on saturday ( we haven't made an appointment as we just want to look around the park without all the haven 'spiel')
if we like it then we may purchase a van while there,
we have looked around a few haven sites and we do think that they overprice their vans, so how do we negotiate and get a good deal??
anyone any hints and tips,
my hubby says let them do all the talking etc etc and then we say "thank you very much we will think about it" and then he bets they will phone us and offer it for cheaper.. hmmm

we are on a park resorts site and they are very over priced too. we inquired about an upgrade and decided it was too much money, they bring the price down everytime we see them now ! stick to your guns and see just how much they will reduce it by. good luck

If you want an instant £1,000 discount, we as existing owners with Haven can recommend you.
You will need our a/c & name & quote it to the sales person, don't get fobbed off (if you do i'm happy to pursue it with the site GM & Head Office).
We too get money credited to our a/c for introducing you.
If interested then quote our a/c GS020884 & name David Lloyd, give us a call if you require more info.

i have to say, we had a look around a site and we kept having phone calls and he came down by over £2000 in the end, but we are not sure about that particular site.
we should have been honest really and said that in the first place but we did the haven spiel for over 3 hours!!
when i go this weekend i am goinf to look around the site first and if we love it- only then will we go into the office and do the chat and walk the walk!!
i will let you know how we get on,

If they mess about then we will take it up with the GM Steve Harper-Smith, he is a good guy (was our old GM)

Also note the Caravan Sales Manager is Clive Kennedy
They often try to avoid giving the discount, but if you are introduced by me, they cannot refuse it.

Please let us know how you get on & if you need any information on caravan types etc, make sure you get the layout that suits you & also the pitch location is important.
I'd rather you chose the correct caravan for you, than the one the sales guy wants to sell you.

I bought from Haven. Since then I have heard of someone buying better, privately for 6000 and even with extra site fees, commission etc. will still be better off in three years time than having gone with haven. ie they were selling same thing for 13000! They did their homework, looked at the figures and made the right choice. Then today I read another member who bought from Haven for 20,000 inc two years site fees so he got a really good deal. ie. site fees came to about 8000 making the caravan worth 12000. Haven prob. gave the previous owner 6000 for it! Winners all round with Haven....Just do your homework.
