Default Mattress Protectors

Hi Guys and Gals,
Just had some people renting van from me, and when they left, the smell on the mattress and duvet was horrendous, (had to throw duvet away) cant figure out if it is body sweat or doggy smell. Can anyone recommend any good mattress protectors.

i have two on each of my beds....
one is a washable/breathable one that i got from Dunhelm Mill ( not cheap ) and the other is a bog standard one that i got from Asda.....

and i dont even rent out!! i am just being cautious as I dont know who had the van before me.......

and you could spray a good dollop of fabreeze all over the mattress to breathe new life back into it..... and the room ..... the room spray is the one i mean, like a fine mist..............
and goodness knows how they got it so smelly !!!! yuk x

You'll find some people don't bother bringing duvet covers, bottom sheets, pillow cases etc....they are happy to sleep directly on a mattress & use a duvet without a cover
This is why we now make our beds up (live local), it protects the mattress/duvet & pillows.
If there's ever any sign of marks/stains on our quality mattresses we have a steamer to refresh them.
We still replace duvets/pillows regularly if there's a hint of a smell, single duvets wash up in our large machine (doubles can be more difficult).
Pillows & duvets are so cheap these days.

How awful, it must have put you off renting out your van. Dd you meet the people when they arrived?

That must have been awful for you. How can people be so disrespectful of other people's property?

Thanks for all your advice, we have bought a quilted one from Tesco - and we are seriously thinking about making the beds up for next season.

When we had ours we found that even though we supplied the bedding, many people preferred to bring there own and would just place our freshly laundered bedding under the bed, meaning it had to be done again because it had been laying on the floor.
