Default Energy Saving Bulbs

We had a look at the caravan that we are buying on saturday and noticed that it had energy saving light bulbs fitted everywhere.

Good, I thought at the time.

This morning an e-mail arrived in work with a safety alert on these bulbs, due to the mercury in them.

I feel that this safety alert must be shared.

Be very careful if one is broken, because they can contain murcury, which is very poisonous.

Be careful when opening this link. It contains very graphic images.

Indeed they do contain Mercury, hence then cannot be recycled via household waste, they have to be taken to the tip.

I have energy saving in my van, okay, apart from the ceiling lights, they tend to take a while to warm up lol!

I'm sorry if some of you think that this is health and safety gone mad, but did you even try to look at the link?

I'm just trying to warn people to be careful with the bulbs, especially when broken.
I hope it stops somebody from trying to pick up a broken bulb with their fingers.
