Angry 9.50 Holidays

We collected tokens for a short break at a Caravan Park in Wales (never been to Wales, except a fleeting visit). Checked about taking the Dogs and were advised to choose parks that accept pets, then put a note in with the tokens and the cheque.........cost so far 38 ('cause you have to pay for a minimum of four, even tho' only the two of us were going).

Holiday booking arrives and an invoice for 74.50 for Bedlinen (didn't want bed linen, was going to take sleeping bags and my own pillow as I didn't fancy someone elses), and Entertainment Passes (didn't want these as we just wanted to use the van as a base to go exploring)......both these items were supposed to be optional
No mention about the 30 per Dog per break ?.......so Hubby rang them up and they hadn't booked us in accomodation suitable for pets .......so he rang the Newspaper, their reply......."We don't accept pets".

So a 9.50 Holiday, that was going to cost us 112.50 for two of us, has now cost 38 and no Holiday .........once bitten, twice shy

ML.

I have never had the courage to try that kind of promotion, thanks you have just potentially saved me 38 Scottish pounds.

Presthaven Sands........a bit too commercialised for us, hence why we didn't want the passes, we were just going to use it as a base to explore for a few days. Would rather pay more and take the Dogs than buy passes

Seemed like a good idea at the time

I have always been wary of anything that seems too good to be true, and it sounds as if they are too good to be. I'm sorry to hear of your experience emmell, i defo won't try them out now.

I would have loved to have called for a cuppa, but I couldn't be trusted near new Lodges I may have got my Hubby into loads of debt and he wouldn't like that

Tia may not agree as her shopping bag was nearly full with the jams and chutneys that she bought
