Talking Wanted - Yorkshire Site with seaview for 1st time buyer!

I can't resist the temptation anymore - I am going to buy my first caravan, solely for the use of my little family! But I am a bit stumped when it concerns the way the parks and sites work. So I am turning to you guys for your experience please!

Do you know of anywhere suitable on the Yorkshire East Coast that will have a pitch with a seaview, a wrap around veranda as I have a 5 year old and two small cliff jumping dogs and a local Tesco ( sites with or without activity centres considered too) I would like to be able to go in the winter months, as I love the wild weather and rough seas. My budget can be pushed to 25k - is this feasible? I spoke to Reighton Sands yesterday who told me it would be 40k at least for all the above (plus 4k site fees) and even then they may not have any space. Really I'm not a join in type, I prefer to sit on the balcony with a drink and a smoke and watch the mist roll in...

Can't think of too much in the Scarborough/Filey area that will fill all your needs. Try Falsgrave Leisure Park and Browns at Cayton Bay. Stay away from the big commercial sites (i.e. haven and park resorts) to get more bang for your buck so to speak.

There are a few members on here from Bridlington who can tell you what there is further down the coast.

We have caravans within your budget but i think you will be lucky to get everything you want.

Thank you Crowsnest, my budget can always be stretched for the right view! I have had a look at Falsgrave and Browns but they have a seaview which requires binoculars, I was hoping for something closer. I am looking at some in Whitby at the moment, although nothing has jumped out at me yet.

There is also Cliff Top Caravan Park which is in between us and Blue Dolphin nestled right on the Cliff Top. Most caravans have fantastic views. It is only a small site and not sure how you would get in touch with them. See here for a starting place:

No unfortunately we're not allowed to put caravans on the cliff top. We have great views from our tent field though!!

We do have caravans for sale with fantastic views of the vale of pickering, you can see about 30 miles on a clear day.

If you buy a caravan at Cliff Top, tell James he owes me a drink!!

Can't compete with Crowsnest its in different league but if you don't find what you are after we are on Southcliff Bridlington its pretty basic, definately not posh but its reasonable and has a wonderful beach, your budget would buy you something on our site. Unfortunately all of the caravans with a sea view get it from across the park & ride which does detract somewhat. We are 5 minutes walk from van to beach, the staff are great, the cost is low the town is a 25 minute walk and there is a choice of large Tesco or Morrisons within minutes in car. I'm definitely not a join in type either so it does for us.

Have a look at our site in Hornsea.

http://www.longbeach-leisure.co.uk

It has sea views, cliff top walks, dogs are welcome, open 12 months per year and Tesco is 5 mins in the car or 15 mins walk. Beach is 2/3 min walk.

We are on the latest development, South Lakes, which has both Lake and sea views.
