We can't get fixed line broadband in our part of rural Ireland, so we use a mifi dongle, through the Three network. It'll be the same situation up at our cottage, where we're siting our static.
It's very handy because we can take it with us when we go away in our campervan too.

I know I'm in Ireland, so the amount I pay is probably irrelevant, but we pay approx 25/month for a 15Gg allowance.

I recently took a monthly rolling monthly contract with EE (through Carphone Warehouse) for a 4G MiFi dongle which will get up to 10 devices online at once. There was an initial one off cost of 10 for the dongle then 20 per month for 15 Gig. Only month notice needed to terminate the contract.

Really impressed with the performance.

When a park starts charging for WiFi (outwith fees) then they are obligated to provide a reasonable service, if it's free then you get what is available. That is assuming Maw Paw and the kids aren't streaming Sky Sports, BBC IPlayer and 2x Netflix in about ten vans across the site all the time then your browsing experience will be somewhat slow.

Unfortunately we can't get any 3G/4G or 2G for that matter from any network due to our location. Free WiFi on site which can be temperamental to put it mildly. Have considered satellite broadband but initial costs and the approx 15 per month PAYG for a seven month site is probably not worth it for all the time we spend there.

For anyone considering satellite broadband there's some info here

You must ask your park first
