Default Advertising a caravan in this section.

Hi all, over the last couple of days, a couple of caravans have appeared on the forum for sale, 'on behalf of' someone else. Caravans need to be advertised by the actual seller for this to work, otherwise any serious interest would be delayed as the seller would not be able to answer the questions posed. The seller will be a member of GoStatic, and not a Sales Person from a Site who would need prior permission from the Administrator.

Just thought I'd clarify this, as it is not clear in the FUP.

Sorry Angela but if you are referring to my thread; that was only to let people be aware of a van being available on a decent site and that any communication about said van had to go through the site owner and that I could provide the telephone number to any potential purchaser.

Hi Noel, it is not clear in the FUP about this, but after reading an 'edit' by Darren on a previous post in this section, it was recognised that a line needs to be drawn as regards who is allowed to advertise a caravan for sale in this section.
By keeping it as 'seller only', it is much simpler for prospective purchasers to use, and easier to moderate.
Also, at the other end of the scale, there were around 75 caravans for sale on a site last year, if the member on that site had posted all of those on here....
We value any posts made by members, we just have to moderate them from time to time so that the forum runs smoothly.
Thanks again Noel

If there had been 75 for sale on ours the site owner would have been selling up and there's no chance of that the farm has been in the same family for over 100 yrs.
