Default 'sight seeing' greece 1942.

This is a 1/72 dio of a Panzer III and crew that has stopped by some ruins.

The board has foam tiles and real slate ones, real bricks and plaster columns (distressed of course). Primed, dark oak varnish applied, then when nearly dry a beige emulsion was added and then it was all rubbed down and blended-once dry it has been weathered using pigments and filters.

Thank you, I enjoyed this build, the pillars are cake stands, worked really well.

Hands, back etc are a pain, but just do what I can, when I can, still enjoy making stuff, just no more DIY.

As you know Eddie I'm a great fan of your work, but I have 2 questions.

1. In photo 3, why is the german in the front mincing / attempting a catwalk style walk
2. In photo 5, is the guy with his back to is having a pee and if so why's the guy on the tank paying so much interest?

Sorry, couldn't resist, more excellent work, I'm just in a funny mood this morning ;-)

First off, many thanks for enjoying the scene, secondly in answer to your questions.

1: The mincing soldier has sand in his underwear.

2: The guy has had too much Moussaka and it is causing severe abdominal difficulties, the guy looking concerned is actually telling him that he is in no way getting back in the tank.

Great Answers, Mande me chuckle! Keep them coming, I love seeing your work. Wouldn't have the skills to do this kind of thing, but love seeing the detail you put in. It's the little things like sand in the undies which make it come alive ;-)

LOL, glad it gave you a smile. I appreciate you commenting and for liking my work, I know I build for me but it is nice that others enjoy them. Working on a tractor at the moment...something different.

Whenever I got to museums I'm always drawn to models. I love looking inside to see if the model maker has really captured the detail. Keep posting, I really enjoy seeing your work.
