Default CB radio / Ameture radio.

Hi guys

does anyone use a cb radio or an ameture radio in there caravan, if so what distance can you speak to peeps on

do people still use cb radios now graham?i can remember we all had one when i was in my teens.dozens of us would pile in our old bangers to go to the top of the nearest hill to get reception,and they were ginormous.the ariels used to be about 6 feet long in those days.good fun though.

Ahh now that takes me back to the early '80's.

My 'handle' was Midnight Blue.

I had both a F.M and A.M Rig.

I did see a car the other day with a 'rubber duck' on the roof.

Apparently, Radio Shack still sell them over here. But it's something i haven't considered myself.

My amateur radio Call Sign is M0CDL I have a Elecraft KX3 at the Caravan, CW only though! that's Morse Code! 73 john

My call sign was Iron Maiden...I had an fm and am CB with a large burner Sometimes I would set the neighbours alarms off. I loved CQ DXing (Cant remember the proper spelling of it ) other countries and got loads of cards from different places. Now that was back in the 80's and early 90's.
