Exclamation Getting Keys Cut

All,

We have just upgraded to a Cosalt Carlton 370 GSX and have tried but without success to get spares keys cut. We have been to two key cutters and both of them have said that we will not be able to get any cut unless we go to a locksmith. Even then we will have to prove we are the owners as the keys/locks are special and have to be ordered. One the the keys cutters has said it would be cheaper to replace the barrels, as the keys would cost us around 20 each, that is if we could get them done.

Has anyone else had this issue, is it only Cosalt Vans? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance....

From time to time caravans are issued with odd-ball key. Its sometimes cheaper to pop to your local caravan shop or maybe just a hardware shop and replace the barrel. They don't cost that much, you could get one which uses standard keys. Most modern locks seem to have 1 screw holding them in and it takes 5 minutes to change them.

Take the existing barrel with you to the shops so you get the right ones.

Cheers

Andy
