Default 12 months on............and still looking.

Although we originally chose Lancashire to buy a static caravan, we have now broardened our search to the Midlands.
We are looking for a static, no more than 15.000 to include site fees etc in or around Stourport / Bewdley / Worcester.
Must be sited on a park that is open for at least 10/5 months.

This looks like a good deal and in one of the areas you wanted.

Thanks for all your replies.
The one on Walshes farm looks lovely, but being practical, a 10ft wide isn't big enough to live in for most of the season.
The one's on wyreforest are slightly out of our price range, but we'll keep looking as wev'e got till next march to find a suitable one.

Default Wyre Forest

Caroll

Have you spoken to Jason, I'm sure he will have some cheaper vans than shown on the website.

No, i haven't spoken to him, but the site i contacted had nothing under 15.000.
Don't think they had any empty pitches.
I would prefer to buy off a dealer, iv'e seen some lovely statics when i was over in May, but the sites seem reluctant to take them.
The sites owners/managers would rather sell you a van that's new or that they can make a huge profit on.
When wev'e mentioned buying off a dealer & moving it to their sites, it's obvious from their reaction that's not what they want.
They umm and ahh & then quote a silly price to take the van.
Then in their next breath they tell you there's a waiting list to get on their site!
Well if that's the case, why are they trying to sell vans that are grossly overpriced with a very short shelf life!
Unbelievable!!
But thanks anyway.

Oh I so have to add my twopenneth here, only because I've done it all and this is where I came in!! Happens to be a sales site near me with affiliated with Bridlington caravans. Couldnt believe the stock!! Really cheap but really nice interiors etc., Wow I thought!! All I need is a site .......not a chance!! Long story short - ended up buying through Haven...It truly was the only way - (should add that I needed the activities etc., etc.,) but no chance of taking a cheaper caravan - anywhere - even the nice owners who dont run as commercially as Holiday Firms - no, they're all the same.......

Oh thank you, Springhay, thought it was just me not having any luck with private sites!
I think we'll probably end up doing the same as you, and buying on a holiday site, we lived on one before in 2004 with Park Resorts. Not that i'm looking for entertainment, but they seem more easy going, more choice of vans and went out of their way to help us find what we were looking for. No silly rules like can't have post delivered, have to move out every 28 days etc etc.

And apologies, Caravanservices, yes i did speak to Jason, (i speak to so many sites that i forgot), but , again, nothing in price range.
