Hi Tia

As others have said, what price happiness!

If I were to include depreciation, insurance and other costs, our per night cost would rocket. When we bought ours earlier this year we just decided to write off the overall cost. Should we ever sell, any money we get for it will be a bonus. Hopefully, though, we will use it for many many years to come.

The purpose was more to give people an idea of on-going costs once you have your caravan.

Tell us your per night cost, I'll not tell anyone.

Ok,with everything thrown in and 62 nights use we are looking at over 60 quid. Factor in the beer money and it's a lot more. Diesel is the killer at 40 quid a weekend for 30 odd weekends.

I think to get a true figure you would need to include everything - including fuel!

Interesting thread, we've only had the van since May so not including fuel to get there and back by the time we close on the 9th Jan we will have stayed for 75 nights, costs for site fees, insurance, gas & leccy 2600, cost per night = 34.66. Worth every penny

Just worked out the diesel costs, 20 journeys for 75 nights, 6800 miles, 1200 in diesel @ 35 mpg, adds 16 per night, won't share this with OH.
