Since we got our van at the end of August we will have stayed for four lots of two nights and our family will have stayed for 10 more nights. As we didn't have to pay fees for this year it has been good value indeed. We have been away for three weeks on other holidays since we got it,(booked before we decided on buying a van) I expect to get lots more out of it next year, which is just as well as we will be paying out for it.

Site fees for us are £2800, gas and elec about £200. insurance £300=£3300
75 nights this year=£44 per night (thats four of us though so £11 pp, per night. I know people have mentioned the cost of travel to the van, but what about the cost of depreciation of the van? That could add quite a lot too! I work ours out to be the cost of the van divided by the number of years left on site from when purchased- (£12500/11=£1136 per year)-Add that to the yearly costs, that makes my figure £59.14 per night!

dee-jay. The majority of things in life depreciate and your correct to get your nightly figure spot on you need to factor it in.However,there are many things that we cannot put a price on such as the fun the enjoyment the pleasure our vans give us.
