Hi janeo. If you use the search on here then this subject has been covered before. In theory,if you have a licence for your home and you can prove no one is watching tv at home then you are covered in your van.I think you are still supposed to tell the authorities that you have a tv in your van though.

We printed off a form to inform the TV licensing that we had a licence at home which would cover us at the van (assuming that no-one will be watching the tv at home at the same time as the van!). The form is on a link somewhere within this forum!

TV Licensing replied last week and basically sent a form back with the caravan address which stated that we did not require a license for the van address. This will cover us if they ever do spotchecks. It did say on the van that they may make a visit to check that you do not require a license as upto 25% of people wrongly believe that they don't require one!! Found that quite funny and await the knock! Assuming they are allowed on our site as most people aren't!

I'd personally inform them to save you any hassle in the future

I would say that you're not covered then ricardo if you haven't got an address of your own.If you are not classed as actually living at your girlfriends house but rather just using it as a forwarding address then it basically means that you are watching telly in a van belonging to you without a licence(i think)
