i would think some members do travel to their parks by train or coach.
my o/h and grandaughter have decided to go to butlins in bognor regis the last week in april for a change.as she finds driving to the van(112 miles) stressful,she was apprehensive about driving 165 miles to bognor,having never been there.
i went online and british rail wanted £124 for them both to go by train,and it was over £100,and an 8 hour journey on national coaches.
i came across a site called raileasy and priced their journey up.it came out at £65 for the 2 of them,and the train tickets were delivered the next day................bargain.
if anyone travels to their park by rail or coach it may well be worth seeing how much they could save.

Most of the Rail companies have their own websites to check for fare prices and availability. They're all based on the 'National Rail Enquiries' site owned by the state, so with minor variations (and the odd special deal) should all have the same prices. Booking up to three months ahead - if you can - can get you some real bargains on certain routes, especially if you can avoid peak times and certain days such as a Friday when lots of people are returning home from working away. Weekends can be a real problem due to track work repairs on longer routes, so best avoided.
If you can, study the rail maps (they're on the above site) and try various options for your journey, for example where I am based in Durham, it's often cheaper to book a local train to, say, York (a rail hub) then another from there to my ultimate destination. I've saved over 50% recently doing that. You've got to be organised though and in not too much of a hurry, but you do get there - and back!
I've found the cheapest coach service was with 'Stagecoach Megabus' who cover most UK cities with fares genuinely from just £1. Last summer I travelled from Middlesbrough to London on a new luxury coach for just £7 single, booked a few days in advance. A very pleasant journey and a guaranteed seat.

i would never book a journey without seeing if I could get a better deal elsewhere,
it doesn't take long (and a few clicks of the mouse) to find a deal somewhere..
Mr Tia and I are going to Llangollen on Tuesday for the night and checking out the price of the hotel on a few different sites, I think we got a good price
