Thanks Angela. Having read loads on here about "the power of the block policy" that parks have, I am awaiting a quote from the park first off.
I had looked at our home policy but it only covers specified items away from home so I guess a sensible amount of contents for the van required.
The park manager was clear to ensure I cover for the full cost of the van as delivered to park, plus likely cost of decking, plus about 10% to cover any major clear up etc. should anything horrible happen !

Just by way of update, I am still awaiting ABI to come up with our caravan and strictly speaking, I'm still not even an owner !!
However, after a second let down, we are advised it should come together by the end of this week.
Not holding my breath but watch this space. I did say earlier I would advise when appropriate for you to run for cover when it all kicks off !!!!!!!!!!

Ours is 140 per year market value on our 2005 willer by Winchester
Which covers structure and contents and winter cover with tower gate
On sites block policy, happy to use the sites insurance as I can't get anywhere near that low a premium when I have had individual quotes off other insurers out of curiosity
On last site in fontygary I was paying 200 market value for a 2002 willer by salisbury

Just had our renewal quote from Leisuredays, the site's preferred company, they want 315, new for old on a 2104 van. Towergate will do the same for 193, I know which I'll be going for!!

Be fair! If you can get that kind of cover at that price in 2104 you'll bite their arm off!

OOPS, should re-read my messages before posting. It would be a really good price for 90 years in the future. I of course mean't 2014. Wish my quote had gone down, the Leisuredays price is more than last year and I haven't made a claim.

This is, but the caravan in question is a 2014 model...

Our park policy is with Leisuredays and seems good value this year. Guess we'll see what the next renewal brings
