There should be a label on the electric box, usually in wardrobe which shows the date of the first inspection after manufacture.
Unfortunately Cosalt no longer exist so can't use Scotnosh's method.
Trouble with some sites they quote the Model year as opposed to the year it was actually made. My last caravan, a Cosalt was actually made in September 2008 according to the inspection label, but was sold as 2009.

HI, I've literally just bout a Cosalt Capri Super 35x12x3 just this weekend.

I was looking for this myself just the other day.
I looked around the van and the electric box on the inside of the main room wardrobe stated 1995 to be serviced 1997. However I now have the paperwork and certificate that states its a 1998. Someone said to me that its the sold date that it goes by but I'm not sure. The serial number on the outside doesn't mean much I don't think.

Hope any of this helps! =)

Usually the dates on the electric box will be the dates when the van was connected to the mains and commissioned, which is usually soon after siting.
The date on the paperwork is usually the date it was first sold, so if a van was sited in May 1995 and stood empty or as a show home and was sold in September 1996, the paperwork will show it as new from Sept 1996 (so the buyer gets the full warranty).
The plate on the outside is the serial number specific to the van (it is sometimes on the chassis as well) and if the manufacturer is still around, they will be able to tell you the actual manufacture date, which would be the date it left their factory.

I wouldn't accept that explanation. The interior fittings and furnishings can be changed for each new years model. Go online and Google the year make and model of your van. You will see if it's the correct model.
