Default legal advice

I let my Holicay Home: Static Caravan through my site. I made it clear that it was to be let to non smokers and also no animals/dogs due to my allergies and health:They let it to smokers and dog owners. As a result, I was ill and have had a very itchy two weeks as a result.

Secondly, it was filthy, with stains on the walls, carpet and upholstery.

I am so upset that they have broken the contract/agreement to such an extent. It has taken me two weeks of negotiations to get them to do most of the cleaning.

I feel violated and let down.

Any legal advice or suggestions would be helpful

Did you put it in writing no pets and smokers?

Straight forward case of breech of contract...Verbal contract with witnesses is equally binding as written contract !

Would it be worth getting them to use deep clean firm, then stop renting altogether?

Is it possible that the renters lied when booking?
Unfortunately, while the majority of people will be honest and treat other people's property with care, there are a minority who are totally selfish and want what they want, regardless of the effects it has on others.

I have asked them to do so this weekend and hopefully, when I return they would have done. I asked them to contact me when they have done so but nothing since Friday. Really worried that when i return that they have not deep cleaned. I feel that as soon as i made the company aware that it was apparent that smokers and dogs had been in my property they should have offered to deep clean - not me having to ask them every step of the way.

I understand that people may lie but when you book through this company you state if you want smoking or not. mine should have been listed as non smoking.
