Default Caravan at Butlins Skegness

Hi everyone,
I have been going to Butlins Skegness for the past 25 years on and off (mainly on) and we have decided we are going to purchase a van. We are going to see one tomorrow on Parkside. It is a 1999 cosalt capri in excellent condition with a veranda covering half of the van. It also has a large playing area behind it. It is a 35x12 2 bedroom and has panel heating in every room also a gas fire in the front.
The carpet has faded so may need replacing. I can have the van for 3300 and he will pay the 15% fees. My father in law has been to view and he said it is exceptionally clean with no damp etc.

Is this a good price? Obviously i have got to pay site fees etc. for next year.

Also we are looking at sub-letting the van to cover our fees each year. Can this be achieved? We are looking at staying when nobody has rented the van.
What can we expect per week in the summer holidays?

Also how much are we looking at for a new carpet roughly?

Many thanks in advance for your help and i will hopefully be a proud owner of the caravan.

hello
i have a caravan on butlins in parkside aswell, that is a great price for a caravan there.
you will make your money in subletting, you can expect guests to pay upto 600 aweek in summer holidays.
sorry i couldnt tell you about the carpet, but if you need curtains and cushions replacing then i can help you with that lol.

Hi
How much do you roughly charge for curtains and cushions. I havent got any measurements yet but just a rough price would be good.
Thanks for your reply.

Hi its number 45. Is that price per pair of curtains. Also if needed can you do whole sofas. As I said I havent been to view it yet and the van was only for family members so that is why it is in good condition. Thanks

Hi

We purchased our carpet from a place called Roll-end in skeggy.. they are on the left hand side as you head into skeggy from Butlins... we paid just over 300 for living area.. and the main bedroom and the hallway and kitchen area... it all depends on what carpet you require... we just called them they came to measure up and then we called into the shop to pick what we wanted... and they fitted it good friday for us.. really good.. you will have no problem letting.. cause hopefully next year we are hopeing to buy one in Butlins also for letting..
