I am sorry if I am in the wrong place for this but could do with some advice.
I am thinking of relocationg my static, it is only 2 yrs old an has been accepted as a tow on at a park that I would like to be on. My problem is that the siting fees are 6000 and this does not include annual fees. Could someone please let me know if this is the norm?
If I sell my van I would of course have to give 15% to the site owners which would be around 3,900. Thanks for looking.

is the 6k for transport as well??? Have the site owners where you are made an offer as the 3.9k sounds as though the van is valued at around 21k...

Hi,
No the transport is extra Treetopper, about 800-1000. Just sounded excessive to me as I expected around 3-4K, I have tried to negotiate but to no avail.

And yes they offered 20k less of course my 15% to them. I think my van is worth around 26 but not sure.

that sort of figure is quite normal as the park owner is allowing you to occupy a pitch that,in theory,he could use if he sold a van and make that much or even more.

please be sure that this new park is the right park for you for certain, 6000 is an awful lot of money to hand over plus any other fees.....

Do you have to use their company for transport/site your static? I can give you contacts for Transportation/siting teams around the UK if you're allowed to use them, might be worth asking
You'll also need to inform your insurance company

Let me know if you would like the info
