SLF Ltd are about 3 miles from Sevenoaks( Our Park)

Our site has many, many examples of their work.

All looks really fresh and modern ( with astro-turf walk areas on the decks by the way)

Hi NeilRunner

Would you mind telling me who quoted you 660 please? We are buying our first caravan at the moment and need to have a metal veranda with a wheelchair ramp. We have have a couple of rough estimates of between 4000 and 8000.....!!!!!! Any info you could pass along or recommendations for what you eventually got would be much appreciated. Thanks :-)

Hi everyone. I can't work out how to create a new post (doh) so hope you don't mind me posting for advice here? So I have managed to get a cheap second hand metal balcony and arranged for it to be delivered. I need this as the site I am on has no individual parking, so when it's wet and muddy you have to trek over the grass to your car and tread all the mud back into the van. With no balcony to sit on and remove boots it's a bit of a chore. Anyway, my question is this. The floor is completely gone so what do you use to replace it? I know decking is an option but a lot of people on my site seem to have big square panels fixed down, much like the loft flooring panels you can get. Any idea what this is called and where I get it please? I have a handyman lined up to quote me for this but thought I'd investigate options first. Thanks in advance, Jane.

Tried the link that you put up but it didn't seem to work so I googled the company and came across Shropshire Lesuire Fabrications Ltd, think they've changed their name.

Just a thought, would a metal veranda/Decking get very hot in the sun? just thinking how comfortable it would be for the dog. You may need to get some doggy socks so its paws don't burn.

Hi Jane,

we have a an 8 x 6 metal balcony and the decking consists of two large sheets of Marine Plywood, "Marine plywood. Marine plywood is manufactured from durable face and core veneers, with few defects so it performs longer in both humid and wet conditions and resists delaminating and fungal attack. Its construction is such that it can be used in environments where it is exposed to moisture for long periods". We have had ours for 10 years plus and still going strong, hope this helps.

If you re going to use wood ( planks or boards ) try and fit them making sure they drop away from the van so that they drain off. It does not have to be by much, but every little helps.
