Stain or oil it needs to be done each season to smarten things up. I just accept its something to be done each year and Pay 30 for 5 litres of Ronseal Golden Cedar. I tend to lightly power wash the decking before staining to get last seasons loose stain off.

I did say it was expensive, but it is good. I'm not sure what other oils are like so I won't say that its better than others.
