Hi Parrots, and welcome to the forum.

As to whether it is illegal or not, to have your large sum of money insured, then i just don't know. But it would be setting yourself to one side, by my thinking, because if anything - heaven forbid - were to go bums up, then you would be in trouble paying for repairs, etc.

Hi Parrotts, (what an unusual username).

I'll send Crosby Insurance a Pm for you. They are the people to ask.

I'm not a legal eagle but I'd be surprised if its an actual law, sounds more like a site rule

Hi Parrots and to the Forum.

It is not a legal requirement to have Caravan Insurance however Sites can insist on you having insurance as part of there own Terms and Conditions.

As Zumba said I would imagine everyone would want to protect their Caravan, sounds to me like the site are being a little OTT with the wording of the letter.

Thanks for giving me a nudge Angela, I dont want to end up being a Lurker

Thank you for your advice, we can all give our opinions on this, but with a subject as important as this, we needed the experts

Thanks again
