so far everything is great with us and the caravan, but this will only be our second season. i could see how you might get fed up with it if you are not getting the use you want out of it especially with site fees being so high, but hopefully we'll not come across that problem for a few years yet

I started a spreadsheet and since the 12th June last year we've used it 37 overnights and 50 days and after a year will work out how much it costs per visit.
Will probably have to put depreciation into the cost - beginning to wish I never started taking a note of visits as a may get a shock

i havent started a spreadsheet but i have a 'caravan book' and everything goes in there...
from what we bought it for, what we had to buy for her, all the bills, when we buy a gas bottle etc etc...

and i believe that the van depriciates at around 2000 a year.. ( is that right Mads?)...
and from opening up in march to closing at end of october....I ( i will say I cos i go the most with whoever)..... have used it for only 44 nights!!

o no.... i wish i hadnt bothered adding it up now

Managed to convince myself not to count Gas and Electricity as we would be using that at home if we were there. Was hoping 1500 depreciation a year as we didn't buy it new

possibly that but i am sure someone will put us right...
in the next 5-6 years my van will be worth practically nothing with depriciation values..

We'll keep going with the van as long as we can keep it on site and also if finances allow. After this one though,as much as we love the life and the good times,if its in the next fifteen years that we have to move it then we won't buy another for quite a while.
