Default Mersea Island, Essex

I hope the link works, anyway for anyone interested it seems the owners are trying to expand, to the chagrin of the residents.
If the link doesn't work it's on the Colchester Gazette website.

Thanks for posting Keith J
We are at Coopers Beach also East Mersea, same area in report (but a different park)

The site in question ( IMO ) definetly has the capacity to expand and personally I don't see why not!

The East Mersea residents always seem to want it both ways...plenty of money being spent by holiday makers on the island. restaurants, supermarkets, clubs etc..seems that they want the Island to themselves but don't object to the influx of money the holiday families bring.

Wait to they find out that Coopers have applied for and achieved permission for another 27 caravans to be added.
They will be livid lol
As for local services being stretched, there is no hospital on the Island, the GP's will ( rightly so in my opinion ) not let you register and the dentists will only undertake private work not NHS treatment etc...

Dave.

It's difficult to tell from the height that the photo has been taken from, but it looks as if those vans are packed on to the site like sardines in a can.

And with a few vans squeezed in at fairly jaunty angles. From the images it does look a bit crammed !!
