Default Andy & Lynn's 1997 Cosalt Torino Super

Hi everyone, I just thought I'd start this thread with a view to updating it as and when we 'upgrade' the interior. This is our first static caravan that we've ever owned even though we have talked about buying one for ages, we've just never been in a financial position to be able to afford to do it.

Hi Andy, I can't wait to hear about all your plans and to see the photos. It can be great fun and you get it exactly how you want it. Then you can sit back and enjoy it. It's surprising how small changes make a big difference.
I've done bits to mine. Changed the suite, changed frilly curtains for blinds, recovered headboards, recovered dining chairs and changed light fittings. You can get some real bargains in the Jan sales.

I bought my 1998 cosalt torino in oct. last year. I'm happy with the interior, in fact I think it's original. It's probably the smallest static you can get at only 23x10' one bedroom, but it's ok for the two of us.

regards, ken & marilyn

Hi, can I direct you to this thread - " Modernising an Old Girl "
http://www.gostatic.co.uk/showthread...dernising+girl

There's so much information here in one place that's been gathered/added over the last couple of years.
Anyone searching for a specific subject eg pelmets or headboards try using the 'search this thread' button.
It is a chatty thread due to its title, and was started in 2011, but worth browsing through
170,00 views can't be wrong!

Thanks everyone... still finding my way around the site, I did manage to read most of the 'modernising an old girl' thread.. there's some really invaluable stuff on there. As promised, here's a few 'before' and 'during' pics... after ones to follow at a later date. I tackled the bathroom today and took my trusty steamer which I thought would make life easy.... wrong! Because it was tiled paper, it was made to be waterproof which meant the steam couldn't penetrate the top layer so I had to peel all the red off before the job became a lot easier...

Wotcheer Andy & Lynn, it was nice to meet the both of you today, it's just as well I had my tinted glasses on when you showed me your bathroom, you have done well getting the red off, if you need a hand when you insulate the underside just give me a shout.
