Default Sited Dymchurch, Kent area wanted

Wanted a 2- 3 bed roomed caravan sited in the Dymchurch area of Kent. We are so new to this so most likely I am leaving out the really important bits. Hopefully a quiet park, we have no animals, 3 grandchildren, hopefully a non smokers one, prefer 10mts opening and really would prefer to purchase from a private seller...Allan

Allan, remember if you buy privately you will probably have to pay an increased site fee - reason being the park didn't make any profit from selling you the van - a lot of b******s if you ask me but that is the way it is.

you could buy from an owner who is selling up,probably a lot cheaper than buying directly from the site.but remember, you will probably still have to pay site owner in the region of 1500 when the van changes hands.

Hi - I have just come back from the UK and visited a couple of nice sites in Dymchurch - one called Eastfleet but the problem with that site is they have a huge waiting list for plots as people want to get off the large site next door so unless you are buying new then there is little chance of that site and then a park called Dymchurch Caravan Park which was also a very nice park but again I don't think there are many vans for sale or plots but you could try that. Happy Hunting. Maggie

I bet I can guess which park they all want to get off!

Just looked up Eastfleet and that looks lovely - site fees are cheap too.

Hey Maggie, you must have viewed so many parks over the last couple of weeks that everyone will be asking you questions.

Hi MuppetChops - you are right about the park next door to Eastfleet - they are queuing up to get off it!!!!!!obviously can't mention the name but it is easy enough to find out the Eastfleet site is very nice but has a huge and I mean huge waiting list. While we were there we noticed a plot spare and the owner said that the van going on there had been waiting for a plot for around 4 years!!!!! the other site Dymchurch Caravan Park is quite a bit bigger and just as nice but is in the top part of the village. Hope you are well. Maggie
