Default Skegness Police advice following recent static caravan burglaries

We actually had someone from OUR site doing the burglaring!! He was stealing gas bottles and selling them on, he also, reportedly was stealing paving stones/flag stones too!
And yes_ he was thrown off site and had his caravan repossessed as he bought it on credit through the park...

Of all the cheek!! He had obviously never heard of the phrase "don't **** on your own doorstep". Serves him right for getting van re-possessed and losing everything - should have lost his fingers too. No excuse for stealing, glad they caught him

Just refreshing this thread due to more break-ins reported across Skegness Caravan Parks.
There's some good advice from the police in the link which we all can use.
Not all insurance policies cover you for items left inside your caravan over the closed season - especially electrical items TV's, but some policies DO - providing they're out of sight. Not everyone has room to store them at home. Might be worth reading your policy to be sure.

strangle enough we had that carryon on the last site we were on but it was staff,stealing slabs and then laying them for others,the bloody nerve of some folk
