Default Blinds or curtains...that is the question.

Right, you have your lovely caravan sitting there all lovely and invititing...but wait, what is this?

Curtains, pelmets and nets...hmmm, are you- "I like the cosy, warming look they give". Or, "Dust traps, look old fashioned...GET RID OF EM"!

Maybe, just maybe you have blinds fitted...hmmm, are you- "I like the modern feel and openess that blinds offer". Or, "Dust traps, look horrid...GET RID OF EM"!

Pick and may your choice be a wise one.

Blinds can be expensive, we fell lucky as Withernsea market had a outside stall and on this were some light oak blinds that matched the inside furniture of the van perfectly, we got the lot for 25, all new. Problem was that they didn't fit the smaller dining area window and the small lounge window, cost me 60 to get some that fitted, all matching. One problem is that I have two blinds in the front window with a half inch gap as opposed to a full length one, this would have had to be made and cost 100 just for the front window...stuff that. So for 85 the whole van is done Well when I say the whole van...apart from, kitchen has a plastic blind, easy to clean, although I do have a wood blind to fit if I wanted, lads bedroom..."don't want a blind...like me curtain". Again, I have a blind spare that will fit...maybe one day. Bathroom has a white roller blind.

We have wooden blinds at all windows and pretend curtains which just "soften" the windows a bit. We got the van new last year and they were the ones that came with it. Having said that I would have chosen them for myself.

We had flower ones in our bedroom, not bad but they let in the light so they had to go, the ones in the lounge were faded burgundy things, had to go. Just need to have some cream pelmets made up and then we be sorted!

We have a wooden venitian blind fitted in our bedroom now, reason we fitted it was that we got a few lew left over when we got a job lot for 25. It fits a treat and although a little light gets through it is no where near as much.
