Bob,
How did it go with the chicken breasts, we have been so impressed with our mini one in the van, I went and got the bigger version for 30 from Robert Dyas for home and its even better, as its got a higher wattage and cooks quicker...

Default Halogen Oven Recipes

Well it arrived my new Halogen Oven I thought I might invest in one.. cause I'm not doing great with the gas oven in the caravan.. at home we have electric oven which I love.. but I hate the electric hob.. but at the van I love the gas hob.. so I thought I would have a go with one of these.. it says it cooks up to about 40 per cent fast and uses less power.. roast.. fry... grill... steam... and bakes... well we will have to see... I'm off to buy a chicken...

Ive paid 39.99 for it.. JML does one.. but I brought Andrew James.. it had a better write up.. it says it has a 12 litre bowl..looks really big.. says you can cook without fat or oil reduces cholesterol intake.. and has a turbo wash function for self cleaning

My mum has a large one at home and at her van, and she uses it for all sorts. Whole chickens, meat, roast tats, sausages, bacon etc etc. My missus won't have one though-don't know why-could be that we haven't got enough space.

Ok, found some links for reviews etc
http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B002LYQF7A

GOOGLE

I'm pretty sure initially there was a recall on some of the early ones. That was a couple of years ago I think.

We have a combination microwave (micro, grill, convection oven) which came with the van and apart from the hob it's all I use now.
I hate the gas oven which was fitted, it's so inefficient and heats the caravan more than it does the food. The seal around the door is useless, the heat escapes from the top of the door and food takes soooo long to cook.
The microwave when used on convection is really efficient, probably as its so small, and now I've got used to using it I think it's great.
I don't really think I'd use many/any other means of cooking, mainly because of the space these pieces of equipment take up. I have toyed with a slow cooker but the jury is still out....
