This is going to sound really snobby but a lot of the vans Ive seen for hire (or the ones Ive stayed in) are no where near as nice as my van. Ive voted "used to" as we've had many a great holiday in a static although the last few hols have been either in our tourer or at a lovely cottage we rented in Southern Ireland

It doesn't sound snobby Marianda - yours looks lovely and you should be very proud that it is your very own place. I know I feel that way about ours and I'm dying to show it off to a few more folks this season.

Thank you Marmo. I have a list of people who are going to be dragged, kicking and screaming to North Wales just so they can "oohhh and ahhhh" at my caravan.

We used to have holidays in statics and then a tourer, but I cannot imagine hiring a 'van now we have our own. Leaving aside the cost (!!), I'd be constantly comparing the hired 'van (unfavourably!) to our own, and bemoaning the lack of whichever kitchen tool/gadget I had just discovered it didn't have!!!

Yes youre right. The amount of times on holiday I ended up going out and buying something because I couldnt cope without it and then leaving it for the next family to use. Its a good way of getting your hire van stocked up free of charge.

Yes Bluemax, youre right. Thats probably why there wasnt one in the van when I got there. The prev hirer had already taken it.

ooo look at you Treetopper..... you want the first invite dont you?

I wont book a caravan holiday now due to me having my own and anyway, they wont be as nice and as welcoming as mine...... I have everything in mine..... there is alays something missing when i used to go to other vans,,,,,

having said that, i have stayed at a friends van last year.... and will probably go again to hers...... i am not sure which box to tick though.....
